Mr Bean: The Unknown Truth

Some genius on YouTube edited Bean: The Movie so that it gives us another message… Enjoy "Brokeback Bean"!

By the way, I watched Brokeback Mountain this summer, but I didn't find it that much interesting. The film could have been half an hour shorter. And I hate open endings. But still, I had some fun with my family because we had a laugh about every single detail that could be made fun of.

Plan langues (2)

This is incredibly idiot, and that's why I'd like you to watch it. It's a Chyprian soundtrack on actual Star Wars footage, with silly (approximative) English subtitles.

The second half is crappy, though.

Darth Vader: That Great Harmonica Player…

I'm always surprised with everything silly I find on YouTube. This thing is especially funny:

How is it that nobody had just thought of it before? The part of his mask that he's got around the chin is in fact the device that gives him the loud voice we know… but I never thought it was like a harmonica… Freaking silly and funny!

5 Second Movies (Again) Deleted From YouTube

Once again, all the terrific 5 second movies have been wiped out YouTube. In a kind of parody of the video "Leave Britney alone", newguywiththeglasses complains about that annoying intrusion of big companies claiming for copyright, even if this stuff is an original product, protected by satire laws (such as these really exist, apparently…)

BITCHES!!!

Converting a Lada

Top Gear rules!

Converting such a piece of communist junk into a sports car cost 100,000 quids, but it's definitely worth it!

I especially like the communist logo on the right rear side…

Biff Tannen Gets A Revenge

Thomas F. Wilson played the role of Biff Tannen in the three Back to the Future movies. In this song, he tells us several anecdotes. They're 100% true, I think.

Tribute to Five Second Movies

Some guy set up a pot pourri made of guywiththeglasses's famous 5 second movies. Enjoy!

I wonder whether guywiththeglasses has actually got a job: with all the time he spends making those absolutely brilliant videos, either we can think he's jobless, either we can think he's wealthy and doesn't have to work. Or maybe he gets money from YouTubers. We'll never know. We don't even know his name…

The World's Best Card Trick???

I was stunned – as I always am – when I watched this vid about "the best card trick ever":

Good for us, some guy revealed the trick. Enjoy being hit by the fact that you've just been tricked…

Shame on Him! Unecies: Rudolf Giuliani

Rudolf Giuliani is known to be the mayor that cleaned up New York city. The effects are spectacular: criminality rate decreased and streets became safer, but also cleaner. Big Apple is not a "dangerous" city anymore. When I went there in April 2000, I was glad to see that we weren't attacked by gangstas — in the 70s my mother was driving through Harlem in a couch (as part of a school trip) and they were targeted by people that were throwing things at them…

Anyway, the better status of New York is not this post's point. I want to talk a little bit about Rudy Giuliani's combover. Well, in fact, he had a combover: I think he cut it after the 9/11 attacks. I've got to check it out. But as you can see on the picture (a smart comparison), he looked much more ridiculous with his hair appendix before; maybe he eventually noticed it and decided to cut it.

Now he's running for the Republican nomination in the 2008 Presidential election. I don't think people would voted for him if he still had his combover. Oh, wait, I've got an idea: I gotta check all US presidents' pictures: maybe I'm gonna find a combovered one. Wait and see…

It's Hopeless…

What kind of a world are we living in?

Maybe the overall lack of culture of most Americans influence my judgement, but still, I don't like to see such a bunch of fools. Poor me!

9/20/2007

Shame on Him! Nocties: Hervé Novelli

Hervé Novelli is a French politician, currently State Secretary of the Minister of Economy and Finance, among others. This guy was originally linked to right extremism, but seems to have redeemed. (If that is possible…) Anyway, I saw his picture in the newspaper and I couldn't help but blaming him for his awful hairstyle. Yet another combover. Shame on him, thus.

9/19/2007

Shame on Him! Octies: Mgr Léonard

In our enless series of famous combovers, I'd like to introduce you to bishop Mutien-Marie Léonard. I wish you didn't have to know him — for he's a jerk to me — but his hairstyle is just as ridiculous as he is.

I totally loathe this conservative pillock whose views are even more catholic than the pope (to coin a phrase using the uncommon superlative form of a classifing adjective — that's a private joke). This guy came by past me as I was waiting for the mayor's speech last Saturday. While I was insulting him silently, I was looking carefully at his dispiseable head in order to confirm what I thought: he definitely has a combover. He combs his hair from the right back to the left.

He's an asshole, and he's got an asshole haircut. That is justice.

9/18/2007

Shame on Him! Septies: Gabriel Ringlet

Gabriel Ringlet is another piece from my collection of famous combover. Once again, we can assume that this man is intelligent, as a well-known theologian and professor of canonic right at Louvain-la-Neuve University. But two facts prove this to be wrong:
— he's a catholic priest
— he's got a toupee-like combover.

I haven't seen him for a while on telly. Maybe because there aren't that many religious issues to discuss for the moment. Politicians are fighting about "splitsing" and "regionalisering". When that jerk of pope JP II eventually passed away (to be succeeded by another jerk, but even more evil), he predicted that some obscure Italian, non-bishop priester would be chosen…

9/17/2007

Shame on Him! Sexies: Serge Kubla

I was telling you about Bernard Rentier and his "Kubla type" combover. Well, guess what? Here's Serge Kubla's picture on the left. He was born in 1947, is a member of the Mouvement Réformateur (the French-speaking liberal party) and I don't like him because he is one of the numerous advocates of the F1 grand prix in Francorchamps. (This f***g race obliged our poor Wallonia to spend tremendous amounts of money just for a so-called sport for men who've got serious problems with the size of their reproductive organ.) For I long time, I was sure that this guy, who had been Walloon minister of Economy (1999-2004), had a toupee. But I recently have had to admit that the hair was still naturally stitched to his skull. However, his weird hairstyle is definitely a combover: he combs his hair from the left to the right, because he doesn't have any hair left in the middle. That's why you'll never see him walking against the wind.

He's probably gonna shoot me for saying that!!!

9/16/2007

Shame on Him! Quinquies: Bernard Rentier

It seems that many university rectors have a sickness in common: the combover. As you can see on this picture of Bernard Rentier, who's in charge of the Université de Liège, the combover is kind of the typical haircut for a university headmaster, just like Michel Scheuer, who I was telling you about in a previous post). Both smart guys, but both looking like idiots. This world is definitely silly.

Apparently, Bernard Rentier's got a PhD in Sciences, because I read this:
Bernard Rentier est professeur au Département des Sciences de la Vie, où il dirige le Laboratoire de Virologie (Fundamental Virology and Viral Immunology).
I briefly took a look at his blog, where you can see that he's still got hair in the middle of this skull, just above the forehead, but he does comb over to cover the bald right side. Actually, this is not as ugly as the "regular" combover (that we can see on nearly completely bold men), but this what I call the "Kubla type". I'll tell you about him tomorrow.

PS. M. Rentier doesn't seem to like what I wrote about his hairstyle!

Big Mistake

Today, I came back to my digs in Namur in order to bring last year's course notes and syllabi, but also clothes and food. Staple elements.

At 11 am, I went to the city hall in order to hear the mayor's speech on the occasion of the Fêtes de Wallonie in Namur. The matter is this speech only started at 11.40. If there is any non-Walloon who reads this, I have to say there is an urban legend that says that Namur is a slower city, where people talk slower and… think slower. Even technology works slower. It appears to be true on some occasions.

Anyway, after the speech, we were offered a drink (beer or orange juice). I walked back to my digs. With no internet connexion, I was unable to do anything useful (and I'm not talking about writing posts on this blog), then I decided to go… walking, once again. I knew there would be another official speech to be given by Rudy Demotte, our Ministre-président.

I climbed at the top of the Citadel, and so did official vehicules transporting ambassadors, members of parliaments and ministers. But I realized I wouldn't be allowed to listen to the speech, for it was to be done in a giant tent that you could enter only if you were a VIP. On the opposite side of the road, roughly 50 people beloging to the RWF (Rassemblement Wallonie France, "struggling" for Wallonia — how dumb can be!) were demonstrating. Rather silently, I must say.

Later, I went walking in the city, where groups were singing and people drinking. The streets were slightly being filled with waste. I walked and I nearly bumped into Alexander, that old friend of mine. I was glad I met him, because I hadn't seen anyone else I knew. We both went eating crisps (delicious food, believe me), then we made our way into the overcrowded streets of Namur. At 10, there was a fireworks show to be seen. It lasted 30 minutes — definitely the longest in my entire life.

Then I met another friend of mine, a girl that was living in a digs in the same building as me and with whom I've always got on very well. I spend the following three hours with her and two friends of hers, we were all drinking tiny glasses of pékèt (the local Walloon drink). Round 1 am, just before my friend left us to go back to her flat, I was foolish enough to dare asking her "the" question (basically if she wanted to go out with me), because after all I was a little tipsy, otherwise I'd be too shy.

To make short, let's say that she turned on my invitation by saying that she wasn't interested in me and that I was the exact opposite of what she was looking for.

The last time I got rejected was 14 months ago, and the reason was that the girl I asked out had just been asked out ten minutes earlier!!! You can imagine how I was: destroyed, shattered, annihilated, obliterated. Something like this in my mind:

(Illustration for Magic card "Obliterate", by Kev Walker.)

And I looked like this:

(Illustration of Magic card "Assassinate", by Kev Walker.)

Or that:
(Illustration for Magic card "Incinerate", by Zoltan Boros.)

Basically the "Wrath of God" effect:
(Illustration for Magic card "Wrath of God", by Kev Walker. Man, that guy's great at drawing destruction and pain! By the way, this is my favourite piece of Magic artwork.)

So, I was devastated back in that time. And I had to deal with it alone, because it happened just before the summer holiday. I had hardly anything to do to busy myself with. I don't like losing social contact. That's why I'm so happy to go back to university — even if I know I'll regret these words very soon…

Back in June 2006, I got rejected because of a question asked too late, or else she'd accepted.

Since then, I never practised courtship with a girl. Maybe because I feared I'd need a great deal of time to go out with a girl, but also because I'm hopeless at asking girls out.

I went surfing Wikipedia to look how to translate "se prendre un râteau" and I found a link to another article about love-shyness. Here are some interesting bits:
Love shyness is a phrase created by psychologist Brian G. Gilmartin to describe a specific type of severe chronic shyness. According to his definition, published in Shyness & Love: Causes, Consequences, and Treatments (1987), love-shy people find it difficult to be assertive in informal situations involving potential romantic or sexual partners. For example, a heterosexual love-shy male will have trouble initiating conversations with women because of strong feelings of anxiety.

Dr. Gilmartin researched this phenomenon exclusively in heterosexual men, concluding that (1987, p.1) love-shyness "afflicts approximately 1.5 percent of all American males...[and] will effectively prevent about 1.7 million [U.S.] males...from ever marrying and from ever experiencing any form of intimate sexual contact with women."
There's also a list of criteria, enlightened by reseach on a large number of heterosexual men. I don't correspond to most criteria, but this one struck my mind:
(…) he is a male who desperately wishes to have a relationship with a woman, but does not have one because of his shyness. In other words, he is not a man who consciously chooses not to have romantic or intimate relationships; rather, he wants such relationships but cannot establish them.
That's my problem, I admit it, and I'm dealing with it. The proof is that I actually dared ask someone out. Real love-shy people could not. And most criteria don't apply to me, for instance because I do have many social contacts (I mean at university), including with girls. Apart from that, I also discovered I'm afflicted with involuntary celibacy:
Involuntary celibacy is the state of a person who has not established an intimate relationship or engaged in sexual intercourse for reasons other than voluntary celibacy or sexual abstinence. The term is used especially for adults who, despite general expectations, have had little to no sexual or romantic experience.

Definition

An involuntarily celibate person is someone who fails to initiate or sustain a sexual or romantic relationship, despite his/her desire to experience such a relationship. Afflicted people may suffer from loneliness, frustration, (…).
They also say there are criteria, but just a couple apply to me. My case isn't hopeless, after all. I really want to have a girlfriend. I'll turn 20 in five months' time and that's one of my goals up to then (apart from passing for all my exams). Wish me luck!

He's Back!

At last, the one whose YouTube channel was guywiththeglasses is back on YouTube. I had already displayed some of his "5 second movies" on this blog. But this channel disappeared suddently in June due to a YouTube's policy on copyright. Fortunately, our guywiththeglasses won his fight and has a new page for his marvellous "5 second movies".

Let's hear what he has to say. Or to transmit, I guess:

In this video, he explain his view on his forced absence from YouTube:

And here are the three brand-new Star Wars episodes he was talking about:

Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Yeah, Jar Jar Binks really destroyed the movie. I can't agree more with Han Solo.

Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Yeah, the choice of Hayden Christensen to play Darth Vader wasn't the best choice at all. Most of the fans agree on that. This actor was too young. But the dialogues were crappy as well, so we can't blame him for everything.

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

"Boy did I bet on the wrong horse!" :p Obi-Wan is definitely the wisest.

Star Wars Kid

I discovered that this video had become part of popular culture:

Here's evidence of it, e.g. in the animated series American Dad:

Or in the virtual game Tony Hawk:

Bad Advertisement

Yo. I received an email in which I found a link to pictures denoting an unfortunate link between an ad and the context where it's found. Check this out:

This picture was probably taken exactly six years ago…

Yummy! Who's feeling like having an ice-cream? This girl apparently perfers licking the rubbish bin.

Praised be our Lord, Jesus Cat!

"Don't try this at home."

To smoke or not to smoke: that is the question.

Who's never suffered from an Error 404, especially on Yahoo?

This should be given the award of the worse matched advertisement.

Dumb and Smarter.

Oh, look, new fashionable panties with carefully designed images hit the stores! I gotta have one!

When Johnny Comes Marching Home

I was telling you about Die Hard with a Vengence yesterday. In this movie when the bad guy, Simon (not me, but Simon Gruber, a German vilain Jeremy Irons), is robbing the Federal Reserve building in New York, we can hear a tune called "When Johnny Comes Marching Home", which appears to be quite popular in America. But what is it. Read this:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"When Johnny Comes Marching Home" (sometimes "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again") is a popular song of the American Civil War that expressed people's longing for the return of their friends and relatives who were fighting in the war.

Here's an old version in an antique movie, Stalag 17.

These are the lyrics I found on the Wikipedia page:
When Johnny comes marching home again,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome then
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
The ladies they will all turn out
And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home.
The old church bell will peal with joy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
To welcome home our darling boy,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The village lads and lassies say
With roses they will strew the way,
And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home.
Get ready for the Jubilee,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give the hero three times three,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The laurel wreath is ready now
To place upon his loyal brow
And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home.
Let love and friendship on that day,
Hurrah, hurrah!
Their choicest pleasures then display,
Hurrah, hurrah!
And let each one perform some part,
To fill with joy the warrior's heart,
And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home

And, of course, it appears in many other films, such as Antz. And in parodies, like this one I found on YouTube:

Awesome, isn't it? If Howard Shore hadn't been hired to write the soundtrack, this would had fitted perfecly. Even if a "real-world" tune would have looked strange…

"Die Hard With a Vengence": 4 Gallons of Water Can Save Your Life

I watched this film about 50 times, but I still can't figure out how they solve this math problem… Can you?

John McClane (Bruce Willis) and Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson) are far too intelligent. Besides, they couldn't die: the end of the movie was an hour away… Silly, I know.

Darth Ratzi: the Pics

Here are some pictures I found on the Internet, showing striking likelinesses between Emperor Palpatine and the evil pope Benedict XVI (aka Jozeph Ratzinger, aka Darth Ratzi).

This is a first picture showing our Darth Razti training at fighting with a lightsaber:

Two other pics showing the everything-but-benevolent look of Palpatine & Ratzi:

Striking, isn't it? But wait, there's more: when Darth Ratzi took control over the dictatorship of Vatican (true: Vatican is the only country of Europe whose head of State is NOT elected by its citizens; and for the record, in kingdoms the head of state is indeed a king/queen, but the Prime minister actually fulfils this function), he raised his arms towards the sky, and almost used his evil powers to shock the crowd (as shown on the picture).

So, now, I hope you see Benedict XVI in a different way. He just looked evil when I first saw him. My insight proved to be true when I heard about what he said about important issues (e.g. contraception, abortion, priests' marriage…), taking ultra-conservative opinions. (But what could we wait from a pope… Who the hell am I kidding?)

9/07/2007

Darth Razti: A New Danger

So, the reluctant Benedict XVI has arrived today in Austria. My mother sent me this really appropriate picture, with this comment:
"Emperor Palpatine inspecting his Troops"

In my opinion, Benedict XVI, or Darth Ratzi (as the Web community sometimes calls him) is as dangerous as Palpatine, that evil Emperor in the Star Wars movies. I'll show you pictures of him where you'll see that Ratzinger's the perfect lookalike of Emperor Palpatine. But the latest seems much more friendly, though.

Darth Vader's Rap

I haven't understood every fuckin' word, but I got the general fuckin' flavour of it. Watch this fuckin' video!

Here are the lyrics if, like me, you want to know what they say. Maybe it would be better not to do so, because it's quite rude… but that's the goal of a parody: making fun of the original in every possible way. Even by doing a Star Wars Gangsta Rap… But I do not caution everything they sing, a.o. what Jar-Jar and C3PO say.
Admiral:
This is Admiral Biatch to base camp,
it seems the stormtroopers have gone on strike
and I have no experience with this type of shit.
Who should I call for help?

Vader:
It's the V to the A to the D-E-R (Vader!)
Reconstructin' the Death Star!
With my slick suede suit that's black like tar,
Fucking you up no matter who you are!

Palpatine:
Tell the motherfuckers 'bout the sheer Dark Side!
Pull up on your planet, Death Star drive-by!
And we'll beat the Rebels 'cause their skills ain't shit!

Vader:
And in my TIE Fighter, Zig-zags stay lit!

Yoda:
Oh, shit! Yoda on the scene,
900 year fiend smoking Dagobah green!
Bitches on my tip, like Lando on liquor.

Lando:
Ah, you're just jealous 'cause my black dick's thicker.

Chewbacca:
*Wookie yell*

Lando:
Yo! Tell 'em Chewie, last night
I had Leia all drunk wanting to do me.

Luke:
Shut the fuck up man! Leia's my sister!
The only thing you're getting is a beat-off blister.

Ben Kenobi:
Luke! Use the force before
intercourse, but Luke!
Don't forget! Bitches ain't nothing but hos and tricks!

(Ohh!)

Luke:
Obi-Wan, I'm the top gun! (top gun)
The chosen one, hotter than both suns!
Vader ain't shit, his head's cut up and split!
He's slower than the first Pentium chip!

(Dark Side!)
Vader:
The one who brings remorse to this fucking universe.

(Rebels!)
Luke:
You know we'll fucking win, 'cause we'll fight to the end!

(Dark Side!)
Palpatine:
I can feel the anger dwelling within you!

(Rebels!)
Yoda:
You also feel Vader's dick in you. BIATCH!

*Incoherent Huttese Jabba rap*

Han Solo:
Jabba, you ain't nothing but a fat-ass slug!
Fake gold chains? You sorry-ass thug!
Sittin' in your palace with your blue-headed whore,
trap door to the Rancor. *sound of someone falling*

C3PO:
Oh, my, goodness gracious me!
I'm a gay man's golden fantasy!
Programmed for homo-ecstasy,
ten million forms of gay positioning.
For my golden shower, you must pay a fee,
but R2-D2 gives it up for free. *R2-d2 squeaks*
R2-D2, watch your language!
Always having sex with robotic strangers!

Jar Jar Binks:
Meesa like to drink and smoke all night!
Meesa like to fight and fucka yo wife.
Meesa no care 'cause meesa so dumb.
Meesa will fuck you with me tongue.
Yousa wants a meesa cause meesa wants some.
Yousa wants a meesa cause meesa wants some.
Yousa wants a meesa cause meesa wants some.
Meesa wants some cause meesa wanna cum!

Shame on Him! Quinquies: Michel Doomst

Have you ever heard of the little village (or, as they say in Flanders: gemeente) of Gooik, in the Province of Flemish Brabant? I admit I hadn't till I saw its mayor on television. But I'm sure you're wondering why the heck I'm talking about some obscure bloke from the Flemish rural catholic countryside: "What the hell is funny about a casual mayor?". I'm going to explain myself, of course, as I always does. (If not, drop a comment for my lack of cohesion.)

If I come to talk about people in this blog, that's either because I like them, either because I don't like them, either because they make me laugh (precisely because I like them or not).

(Do you still copy? See what I mean? If not, so be it.)

Well, what was I saying anyway? Oh yes, that mayor (or burgemeester) from Gooik. Well, guess what?

This is just a blank to give you time to have a think about it. I'm sure you can guess from the title: I've already written several articles that go in the same direction, making fun of a certain category of people. … No, it's not about rednecks, French "Jackys", Walloon barakîs and other Flemish Johnny's en Marina's.

And now? Did you have enough time to think about it? Or do you need one more minute, or one more clue? … No, it would be too easy. But anyway, I'm gonna put an end to this long wait now, because I'm sure you've already looked at the picture below, haven't you yet? See, I told you!

Yeah, as you can see, this guy is part of the large community of man who are too scared of showing bald flesh on their skulls… His name is Michel Doomst. He's thus the mayor of Gooik, as I said above. He's also a member of Parliament. His party is the CD&V, the leading party in Flanders. The first time I saw him, it was of course on TV. The first thing that came across my mind was yelling: "COMBOVER!" Indeed, as you can see several threads of hair were combed towards his fronthead, giving him that ridiculous appearance. If I were living in this remote village of Gooik, I surely wouldn't vote for this man. If you drop an "o" in his name and add an "e" at the end of it, you have the word "domste", which means "silliest". Quod erat demonstrandum. (Or if you just drop "st", you're left alone with someone called "Doom". A Doom that's not even a judge… What a pity. [Explanation for ignorants (if any): I'm cleverly referring, as an Easter Egg, to the brillant "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" with Christopher Lloyd playing a certain Judge Doom.])

I know this is a shallow reason not to vote for him, but people voted for instance for the "beauty" (read: legs) of Freya Vandenbossche, who was in charge of Treasury. Later, she stated in a newspaper that she was hopeless in maths and that she didn't understand anything to economics… That's a true story. We're governed by a bunch of incapable people – who have to rely on capable advisors. (Most of them work for the ministry of Education of the Communauté française. The so-called programmes they came up with are too silly to be taken seriously.)

By the way, and before I go, this Michel Doomst appeared on TV because he was (and still is) an eager advocate of the so-called splitsing van de kieskring Brussel-Halle-Vilvoorde. If you don't know what this awkward thing is, don't try to find out what it is: it's a symbollical division of a voting district around Brussels that is demanded by Flemish politicians. It appears that this division would cost several Flemish seats in the Parliament, but they don't seem to have noticed that… Anyway, that's an issue that they absolutely want to discuss as soon as the government is set. And for the record, the elections weren't taking place last sunday, but… nearly 90 days ago, on 10 July!!! … "At snail's pace", as they say.

PS. If you look at different pictures of Michel Doomst, you'll see that his combover's size changes from time to time. (And this reminds me of one of my former professors…)

Back To School

As a special treat, I was driving my brother to school this morning. Surprisingly enough, my old secondary school (the Collège Royal Marie-Thérèse [CMT] in Herve) is one of the few ones to open its doors as soon as possible. That is the reason why we usually had to stand those annoying TV and radio journalists saying that "Pupils of kindergarten and primary school" were back to school today, but they always forgot us! Even last year, pupils had had to go back to the CMT on 1 September, just for two hours – due to pure bureaucracy matters – which was very upsetting because it was on a Friday, thus ruining a week of holiday. But this year, of course, they had this "longer last week of holyday". As far as I can remember, it was the first time since ten years or so, due to bissextile years. (And for that matter, it won't happen again, due to the additional day of 29 February.)

Anyway, I was driving my brother back to school. In order to spare oil – but also to see my former teachers – I had decided to stay there until my brother funishes at 11 am.

I talked with several teachers, who asked me how did my holiday go; I replied I enjoyed every moment of it since I had succeeded in June.

I went to the small library that the school has because I knew it was a place where I could meet teachers who'd certainly go pass to it. I chatted with the librarian, and she accepted me to help her giving school diaries to the students who'd come. Classes consisted of 24 to 27 pupils. For each class, two students were sent by the headteacher to fetch the books. It was thus quite stuck and crowded in the library when a dozen of pupils came altogether to get the books.

Later, these pupils came back to get the lunch (this is the ONLY thing that the school offers during the whole academic year), which consisted of a waffle and an orange juice.

In the process, I got to see two of my favourite teachers (because they made me laugh a lot back then – and they still do now): M. Kuta and M. Delrée. Last year, I managed to catch one of their numerous "fights" in front of the copy machine. And I put it on YouTube, of course. (Note that these teachers always seemed to argue with each other, but it was just to have a laugh… What a silly school!)

And by the way, M. Kuta lost a lot of weight (more than 60 kg, according to some rumours) since then, but he didn't lose his sence of humour, I can assure you that.

Gordel

I took part in the "Gordel", i.e. a 100-km route that you do on your bike around Brussels.

I was quite exhausted at the end, but I'm glad I did it. It was the last ride I did this season. I won't have the time anymore to do so. Anyway, I almost reached the 1000 km this summer. Last year, it was only 150 km. Quite an improvement!

Wrath of Dog (What a silly pun)

In comparison to the cat I showed to you yesterday, this dog shown on the left is one of my favourites. It's called "dogue de bordeaux", just like the one we see in the terrific film Turner & Hooch with Tom Hanks, about a cop who's got to team with a dog who witnessed a murder. Anyway, this dog just looks awesome. It has a "je-ne-sais-quoi" to it… Maybe it's due to the eyes: when you face it, you fall in love.

PS. I haven't got a dog.
