Clarkson Island

The well-known British comedians Harry and Paul made a brilliant parody of Jeremy Clarkson:

"Clarkson Island has just the greater number of Clarksons… in the world."

"And the thing that's most like the genuine Clarkson… is we pause… in the middle… of our sentences… in the world."

Who are you?

The Joker can't understand what Batman is asking him… (Spoof on the interrogation scene from The Dark Knight.)

"I think you may have a very severe case of throat cancer…"
If you liked this sketch, maybe you'll be interested in watching the outtakes:

"I'm a Marvel" / "And I'm a DC"

Let's have a look at this spoof on the "I'm a Mac" / "And I'm a PC" commercials made by Apple. Today Batman (DC) talks with Spiderman (Marvel):

Now take a look at those vilains, Lex Luthor (DC) and the Green Goblin (Marvel):

Brokebat Mountain

Yesterday I was telling you about the biggest pile of poo in the movie history, Batman & Robin. It was notably criticised for Batman and Robin having so-called "Bat nipples" on their Batsuits, arguing that director Joel Schumacher wanted to give them a gay look. That would of course strengthen that feeling of the "ambiguously gay duo" (as in the song) in the minds of the opposants to Schumacher's conception of the franchise. However, this alleged gay tone allows us to find highlight some interesting lines, and to make use of them in subtile parodies of the Brokeback Mountain theme.

"All you could think about was dick" --> LMAO

"Can you feel it coming?"

"You're not thinking straight."

And I almost forgot to show you the best part of the movie: you'll be surprised:

Today's Uncyclopedia featured article: Batman.

Movie posters

The official poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has just been released, so have a look at this great piece of artwork by Drew Struzan—who also made the Star Wars posters, but also those for Harry Potter and the Back to the Future trilogy, among others.

(This picture was retrieved on TheRaider.net.)

By the way, a Frenchman compared the French and the American trailer of the movie, and noticed a dozen of differences due to the censorship of the MPAA. Unbelievable and outrageous! "Big Brother is watching you", it seems. Just a bunch of hypocrits.

Talking about movie posters, here are two parodies that I found on Uncyclopedia (where else?):

This one is a spoof on the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones poster. The following replaces, respectively, Leonardo DiCaprio by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Tom Hanks by George Bush, a parody of Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can.

James Bond is no more: say hello to Tom Hanks

Here's a brilliant fake trailer made from a crossover between different films starring Tom Hanks, but also Bond movies:

This is definitely a piece of art.

Please watch the following video as well, a scene of an old James Bond (I don't know which one) with Sean Connery (James Bond) and the late Desmond Llewelyn (Q) that has been voiced over in French:

Silly, but funny. Why wouldn't you take a look at the Uncyclopedia entry on James Bond? (Actually, I've already featured it, but I mention it once more to make sure you read it.) The entry on the alphabet is worth the detour, too. That was just to make a reference to Q. By the way, the actor had a combover! Here's evidence of it:

Gotcha!

When Al meets Robert

Heat is an action film starring two of the most popular movie stars ever: Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro. Both had already played in the same film, but never appeared in the same scene. Such a weird configuration occurred in The Godfather II (by Francis Ford Coppola): Pacino played Michael Corleone, head of the New York mafia, and DeNiro played his father Vito Corleone/Andolini in several flashback scenes showing his arrival in the Big Apple and his rise to power, acquiring the prominent function of Godfather. (Trivia: ote that DeNiro and Marlon Brando — who portrayed the older Vito Corleone in The Godfather are the only two actors who won an Oscar for playing the same character.)

I don't remember the story of Heat, but at some point the characters played by Pacino and DeNiro meet in a restaurant to talk about something. The point is that this scene was made into a spoof by the same guy who did the brilliant parody of the "Indy meets his father" scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (I refer you to that earlier post). The result of a clever "re-subb" of the scene is a death match to decide who's the best actor:

Five stars!

eBay

I'm currently preparing a blog entry with parody stuff about Yoda (one of my favourite Star Wars characters) and since one of those spoofs was made by Weird Al Yankovic, I thought I could feature another song of him. This one describes quite cleverly eBay, the best-know website for selling things you don't need anymore. (That's better than a bonfire, as they do in Little Britain.)

Lyrics:

A used ... pink bathrobe
A rare ... mint snowglobe
A Smurf ... TV tray
I bought on eBay

My house ... is filled with this crap
Shows up in bubble wrap
Most every day
What I bought on eBay

Tell me why (I need another pet rock)
Tell me why (I got that Alf alarm clock)
Tell me why (I bid on Shatner's old toupée)
They had it on eBay

I'll buy ... your Nik Naks
Just check ... my feedback
"A++!" they all say
They love me on eBay

Gonna buy (a slightly-damaged golf bag)
Gonna buy (some Beanie Babies, new with tag)
(From some guy) I've never met in Norway
Found him on eBay

I am the type who is liable to snipe you
With two seconds left to go, whoa
Got Paypal or Visa, what ever'll please ya
As long as I've got the dough

I'll buy ... your tchotchkes
Sell me ... your watch, please
I'll buy (I'll buy, I'll buy, I'll buy ...)
I'm highest bidder now

(Junk keeps arriving in the mail)
(From that worldwide garage sale) (Dukes Of Hazard ashtray)
(Hey! A Dukes Of Hazard ashtray)
Oh yeah ... (I bought it on eBay)

Wanna buy (a PacMan Fever lunchbox)
Wanna buy (a case of vintage tube socks)
Wanna buy (a Kleenex used by Dr. Dre, Dr. Dre)
(Found it on eBay)

Wanna buy (that Farrah Fawcet poster)
(Pez dispensers and a toaster)
(Don't know why ... the kind of stuff you'd throw away)
(I'll buy on eBay)

What I bought on eBay-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y

This parody song was a spoof on I want it that way, by the Backstreet Boys. (I admit I didn't know that. I hardly know anything about popular music, actually. Poor me!) Here's the video if you want to compare:

Brokeback… Jaws

After "Brokeback to the Future" and such parodies I've already shown you, there's "Brokeback Jaws", a spoof on Steven Spielberg's masterpiece, Jaws:

Nice work, isn't it?

"Shining" revised…

… or how it is possible to make a comedy out of a horror film:

It's a little bit like that Mary Poppins trailer, but the other way round…
