Happy Halloween! How to celebrate that better than watching an episode of Happy Tree Friends?





The fact that he uses a lawnmower to get rid of the zombies is definitely a reference to Peter Jackson's Braindead lawnmower scene.

Batman returns (I mean he's back)

Remember the first Batman: The Dark Knight trailer?



A very gifted film editor on YouTube came up with this re-cut trailer: shots from Tim Burton's 1989 Batman with the audio from The Dark Knight.



Wasn't that brilliant? According to me, the best bits is "Why so serious?" and "I like that": Jack Nicholson's facial expression is perfectly tuned with the audio.

The second trailer has eventually been released, so enjoy it!



The Joker (Heath Ledger) kicks ass! (but not for the Lord…) There's also a hint about district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) becoming Two-Face… Did you spot that as well?

A Lawn Mower Can Save Your Life!!!

Remember what I wrote in my blog entry of 7 October? Well, for the first time I have to quote myself:

Here we are. 31 October. I'm writing this at 6.42 pm. It's already dark. I'm alone in the corridor where my student room lies. It's the perfect time to watch the best scene of Braindead: the Lawnmower Scene. If you don't like horror movies and loathe the sight of blood (even fake), then you'd beter not watch this. Nevertheless, if you do want to have a good laugh, please watch it. It's definitely not the kind of movies that "make you shit bricks" (just to quote again thenostalgiacritic – cf. yesterday's post), but instead it's a tremendous movie.



And I can't resist to the temptation of showing you the fight opposing Father McGruder to several zombies:

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the film!

Baby Attacks Human

After all, if a mutant turtle is able to attack a human, no wonder that a mutant baby does the same, as shown in Peter "Yeah the 'Lord of the Rings' one" Jackson's gory movie Braindead, a masterpiece of fake-blood horror…



I also wanted to show you a fragment featuring a sheep. I thought it was in Braindead, but Mr Romero (not the horror movies director…) lets me know that this fragment was from Bad Taste, another Peter Jackson movie. Enjoy!
