Plan langues (1)

As part of this blog's goals – namely that of getting the whole world in contact with unknown languages – I suggest that you watch the video below. It's one of the numerous sketches written and played by Manu Thoreau for a programme named Faux Contact, a spoof based on the official Contact, a didactic program about road-traffic safety. Manu Thoreau imitated (and also exaggerated) Commandant De Nève's (the presenter) way of talking.

In the following extract, he explains in a pseudo (because full of unexisting words or words that don't make sense here) Walloon language how to place a spare wheel…



There's also a scene in a pseudo (because full of French near-words and absolutely ungrammatical) Flemish dialect…



Don't laugh: lots of French-speaking Belgians talk like that in Dutch and think they're doing it properly! (Morons.)
