A First Picture From Greece

OK, this one doesn't look nice, but the other pictures I took that night weren't that much better… In fact, we took the plane round 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and 3 hours later, we landed in Athens. It was 6 o'clock, but we had to adapt to the local time, which was 7 o'clock. We got our luggage back, then we took a special bus to go to the centre of Athens, round 20 kilometers further.

When you get outside of the airport, you're stunned… by pollution. The air is warm and the toxic gas come to your nose, giving you a peculiar feeling. The bus couldn't get out of the parking lot, due to a problem with the automatic barriers… Right.

Afterwards, we installed in the hotel, rooms for three, perfect accomodation. Then we went for a short walk in Athens, and we walked up to a forum, just down the Acropolis — that's what you can see on the picture.

Of course, when we got back to our rooms at the hotel, we couldn't sleep and we played cards up to 1 o'clock, even if our teachers told us to go to sleep at midnight. But it was great fun to break the rules. It's a school trip, after all!
